Earlier this year Spiking decided to take part in an award organised by the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF).
Spiking started off as a project by a four-man team back in last year. We put in a lot of effort to meet our initial timeline and we successfully launched a prototype that you see and probably use on your phones now.
We were advised by our advisers to go for this award because they believed in our product and they were convinced that we would be able to offer something that has never been seen before. So we went for it.
Two months ago we were thrilled to know that we were shortlisted for the finals. Spiking’s founder, Clemen, worked really hard for it. Some media outlets even wrote about us being one of the “hot” contenders for the Gold awards.
A few days ago, when Spiking founder Clemen and co-founder Nicole went to the Presentation Reception, everyone in the team was excited. When Nicole shared a photo of our name being listed under the word GOLD, we almost screamed out.
SiTF Awards was a significant step for us. This award, “ championed by the industry, is an important accolade for made-in Singapore infocomm innovations”. It is much more than an award to us, it means that our vision, our effort and our hard work are recognised.
The next day after receiving the award, the team took turn holding it and looking at it and we could tell that everyone had a satisfied smile on their face. Clemen also shared with the newer members of the team of how everything started and made sure everyone know where we were heading to.
With this award displaying in a prominent place in our office (on top of the fridge!), we are even more motivated than ever to do our best to improve our product for our users. We want to give our best to give you the best and we really do mean it. We also want you to know that we value our users very much and we wouldn’t have made it without you.
Meanwhile, stay tuned and we will keep you posted. Happy Spiking!
