Buy it. Test it. Then argue with the author.

The book is the beginning of the relationship—not the end of the transaction. Every path below remains independent: buying does not require a masterclass, a review does not unlock a benefit, and the autograph promise does not depend on a rating.

Authority without borrowed hype

The proof is not a screenshot. It is whether the numbers survive you.

There are no returns, account statements, signals or winning-trade screenshots in the book. Every premium, Greek, breakeven and probability comes from one disclosed option chain, so the reader can recompute the claim instead of trusting the author.

One transparent chainSpot 100, volatility 25 per cent, interest and dividends zero, with thirty- and ninety-day expiries.
Fifty-six computed structuresTen families, one common grammar and no need to memorise fifty-six isolated tricks.
Risk stated where it occursTime, volatility, margin, assignment, friction and the edges that the tidy payoff diagram leaves outside the frame.

Inside the complete book

Grammar first. Structures second. Practice after that.

The fifty-six are not presented as fifty-six promises. They are outputs of a common language—followed by a process for deciding whether that language belongs in your account.

Part One · History, regime, context

Why the wall existed—and what replaced it.

An equation in 2000, a crash in 2020, a whipsaw in 2025, the 2001 rule, the morning it changed in 2026, and the 27-month learning window that follows.

The visible wallThe pattern day trader rule, its $25,000 threshold and the population it actually caught.
The moving fenceThe exposure-based framework and broker implementation that replaced a fixed line.

56 structures · 10 families

One piece of arithmetic. Fifty-six outputs.

Memorisation helps you recognise what you have seen. Arithmetic lets you work out what you have not.

The 10-second habit

Read the edges before the middle.

Widen the graph. Look at the far left and far right. A flat line means the exposure has finished. A sloped line means it is still travelling after the platform runs out of screen.

“The edges are where accounts die, and the edges are the part of the picture your attention is least drawn to.”
Illustrative shape
Left edgeFlat — defined
Right edgeFlat — defined

Illustrative payoff at expiration only. Not a recommendation, live quote or actual option chain.

Look inside

Start with the equation. Reach the edge test. Then decide.

The sample is ungated because a book that asks to be checked should let the reader inspect its argument before asking for trust.

The author behind the bookDr. Clemen Chiang

Ultimate authority is a traceable journey

Twenty-six years after the equation, the book he wished he had.

Dr. Clemen Chiang read civil and structural engineering at Nanyang Technological University. In his final year, he discovered that an entire market rested on a single equation, wrote to the Cboe Options Institute and began a correspondence with senior instructor Marty Kearney.

He began teaching options in 2003, among the first in Asia to do so, and has taught more than 50,000 students. He later founded Spiking, the market-intelligence platform, and serves as a portfolio manager. His work sits where data, market structure, risk and investor behaviour meet.

The reader becomes the proof

Great reviews begin with an honest book—not a review campaign.

“A review from a reader tells the next reader more than anything I could write about my own book.”

Finish enough to judge it. Name what was useful, what was not, and who should read it. Then say so where the next reader will actually see it.

No incentive. No request for a positive review. The autograph, photograph and masterclass paths are not conditional on leaving a review, on the star rating, or on what the review says.
A neutral memory aid

Build the notes for your honest Amazon review

These prompts stay on your device. Nothing is submitted to Spiking.

Your review should reflect your own experience. Do not include private account information, promotional links or claims you cannot support.

Lines worth arguing with

Read one. Share one. Test it against the market.

The book is written to be challenged, not repeated. Share a line with the page—not a promise of profit.

Being right too early in options is identical to being wrong.
Chapter 2 · Time has a price
An institution must be right and defensible. An individual only has to be right.
Chapter 3 · Structural advantage
You can commit to a process. You cannot commit to a result.
Chapter 7 · The 27-month window
The wall came down. What was behind it is not a shortcut. It is a place to find out.
Chapter 32 · What the book claims

The book explains. The room lets you argue back.

Straight answers

Before you buy—or register.

No disguised guarantee, no review incentive and no suggestion that access turns into skill by itself.

Where can I buy The Wall Came Down?

Use the Amazon product link on this page. Amazon displays the current format, price, delivery estimate and availability for your location.

What exactly is Dr. Chiang's autograph and photograph promise?

Bring your physical Amazon-purchased copy to a designated in-person Spiking masterclass or book-signing session where Dr. Chiang is present. Subject to the published event arrangements and capacity, he will personalise and autograph your copy and take a photograph with you.

Do I need to leave a review to receive the autograph?

No. Reviews, ratings and review content have no connection to the autograph or photograph promise. No benefit is offered in exchange for a review.

What should I write in an Amazon review?

Only your honest experience. A useful review can say what became clearer, what remained unclear or unconvincing, and who would—or would not—benefit from the book. There is no request for a positive rating.

Is the current masterclass in person?

The format can change by session. The current public registration page states the latest date, format and venue or Zoom details. Physical signings are available only at designated in-person sessions or separate signing events.

Is the book suitable for a beginner?

Yes for a reader willing to work in order. Part Two deliberately contains no strategies; it builds the grammar before Part Three presents the 56 structures. Experienced readers can also use the one-page reference and index selectively.

Does the book tell me what to trade?

No. It contains no signals, watchlists or recommendations. It teaches how to read the structure, define the loss, distinguish direction from volatility and record the decision before the outcome.

Does the book promise to make me money?

No. It explicitly refuses that claim. The purpose is to make assumptions and risks visible and to build a record honest enough to reveal whether the reader's process deserves more responsibility.

Is this investment advice?

No. The book, website and masterclass are educational only. Options involve substantial risk, including total loss of premium and, in some short structures, losses greater than the premium received or without a fixed maximum.
